Undertake a final clean up of the equipment.

Computer system always needs a clean up and upgrading to make them perform better. If computer has an old hardware device so you can replace with latest devise such as a memory card, hard disk, DVD drive etc.
· Check all cable line internally and externally.
· Check on the systems if any errors or failed device.
· Format a computer’s drive like hard disk.
· Run utility software such as defragmenter, clean up tool, anti virus software.
Check all other temporary files as well:
· Delete all temporary internet files.
· Remove windows temporary files.
· Empty the recycle bin.
· Remove other download file or programs that you no longer use.

If DVD drive is not capable to read data form other storage CD than clean a DVD driver scanner with cleaner CD. These read errors could cause software installation issues or issues while running the program. If DVD drive is not working than replace with new drive.
Clean-up equipment physically:

To clean up your computer physically, open the case of CPU now to remove the dust you can use a hover or compressed air. To clean the case use some spray or moist cloth, for cleaning keyboard you could use a mini vacuum or regular household cleanser to do the job, don’t spray directly on the keyboard but lightly dampen a cleaning rag or paper towel with the stuff and wipe it down gently. Be careful that liquid don’t drop between the keys. Cleaning the screen of computer can be tough job, again use a window/glass cleaner to remove the dust and marks from the screen. LCD screens should be handled more carefully.

Install and configure a DVD rewrite drive supplied.

To install your DVD rewrite gather some information from your PC to install it.
First we need to know what hardware’s are already fitted to PC so it will help at the end of installation in order to check that installation is well. Windows Hardware Manager will display a list of the hardware but not how it has been configured. Now follow the steps to install DVD rewrite:
1. Right click on My Computer and select – Properties
2. Select the Hardware Tab and Device Manager.
After selecting the Hardware Tab and Device manager make a note of the DRIVES you have fitted to your computer and their names. If your computer shows that there are four drives (2-Hard disks and 2 CD/DVD-Rom’s) you will not be able to add any more drives. You will be able to identify the drives from this list when you open the computer case.

The CD drive contains three ports witch is the IDE port, the power port and audio port. CD-ROM is available in either internal or external models. Before you configure DVD ROM, You have to shut down Computer and unplug the power supply cable from back of your computer. Than unplug the rest of the wires from the back of the computer. Unscrew all screw from the back of the components base, than open the base of the cover. Every drive has specific area to locate. Put down the new drive on the appropriate area than secure the drive to the casing with screws provided
If you fitted screw with drive to base than its holds a drive in specific location.

Install and configure the printer supplied but not attached (plug and play).

New printer certainly comes with packaging wires, software etc. To install it you need to switch off the computer than physically attach the cable to the printer. Such as plug in the parallel wire in the “parallel port”, after that connect power supplier to switch board and attach (plug) with printer. Than turn on the printer! While doing this system verify the external devices and indicate you “installing devices” on the right button of the screen. The advantage of the Microsoft operating system is automatic install a driver for the printers and saves time from hassles of installing the printer software. If system could not recognise the new devices, than install the software that related to printer.
When you installing software checks for the cable line. Follow the instruction and install the assessable software with drivers, than go to the add printer on the control panel. Double click printer wizard network than dialog will appear on the screen. You can choose either local printer or Bluetooth printer. Select one of the options than click next button. Write down your local printer name than press next. After that printer model name and driver will appear on the new dialog box. Select printer “HP” than wizard will ask which port the printer is connected to. Select the driver that related to HP.
Give specific printer name. Printer window will display the name you have given. Finally the wizard will ask if user want to test for a print, to check that the new printer driver is working property or not? Than press finish button.
